Andrew Baum is Chairman of Property Funds Research, an investment advisory firm, Chairman of Newcore Capital Management and Visiting Professor of Management Practice at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.  He is an adviser to Redevco, Ashby Capital, CBRE Global Investors and other real estate businesses.

He holds BSc, MPhil and PhD degrees from the University of Reading, and is a graduate of the London Business School investment management programme, a chartered surveyor and a qualified member of the CFA institute (ASIP). He is author or co-author of books with sales of over 60,000.

Andrew Baum was hired as the first director of property research for Prudential in 1987. Since that time he has spent part of his time as an academic and part of his time in business, developing an expertise in property finance, property development, property funds and international real estate investment. In 2001 he founded OPC, a property research and investment company. OPC was sold to CBRE Investors in 2006 to create CBRE Global Investment Partners, now one of the world’s leading specialists in property fund investment with over $18bn in funds under management.
